V-Tech group say this year’s Commercial Vehicle Show, held 25th-27th April at the NEC Birmingham, was the best yet for the fast growing garage equipment specialist.
Over 20,000 visitors flocked to the flagship event, which is attended by fleet owners, senior managers and engineers from throughout the main dealer and independent aftermarket sides of the UK industry.
V-Tech Commercial showcased a comprehensive range of garage equipment solutions for larger vehicles, covering light commercial right up to HGV. The offering includes vehicle lifts and access pits as well as ATL solutions. Interest ran high in V-Tech’s PC-based heavy vehicle diagnostics platform.
V-Tech Commercial returned this year with a larger stand having exhibited in 2016, shortly after being appointed exclusive distributor for BM’s brake testers – and this year they really ‘stole the show’. An interactive stand design, with live brake tester demonstrations, drew consistent footfall.
Chris Phipps, Head of Sales of V-Tech said: “The show provided us with the perfect opportunity to talk to visitors and it’s going to take a big effort to get through all the leads we’ve generated.
“On the first day we sold a mobile brake tester and this just set the tone. Visitors weren’t there simply to browse, people were generally arriving to look at specific things and make buying decisions.”
Chris said interest last year had encouraged V-Tech to generate some ‘show only’ special offers which proved popular.
“We believe we’ve got some of the best products in the market and by offering the best prices too we make it easy for customers!” added Chris.
By co-incidence the first-day sale was to a fleet operator with a maintenance workshop located just a few miles away V-Tech Commercial’s Essex head office. The mobile break tester which sold is even used by DVSA in their test lanes, making it a risk-free choice.
V-Tech Commercial would like to thank everyone who took time to visit them at the show. For more information about V-Tech, please visit www.v-techcommercial.com.
